All set for tonight?
The sweetest parties of the year begin, where you gather with family and friends. Tonight, one of the most special nights for the little ones at home, we all prepare for a good dinner and the wait for the presents.
The 24th of December is one of the most traditional and important celebrations of Christmas, so we have to prepare it with time, choosing the best dishes to share the table with our loved ones.
Here are some tips for the most family-friendly dinner of the year!
- Cook traditional dishes.
- Take care of the table decoration.
- Prepare drinks for all tastes.
- After-dinner meal.
- Be nice. Dress up with your best smile and try to be positive with your comments.
- Don’t talk about politics. Although the current political situation and the formation of the new government invite comments and analysis of all kinds. Today is not the day. Especially not with your brothers-in-law and your mother-in-law.
- Don’t talk about football or religion. These are sensitive issues like politics. Therefore, it is not convenient to talk about the classic, the VAR or your disagreements with religion.
- Be moderate with alcohol. Excessive alcohol can play a trick on you and break the harmony of the dinner by pulling out dirty laundry or making out-of-place comments.
- Clothing. Dress up, be comfortable but elegant and wear your best perfume.
- Empathize with the rest. Think that someone has had a bad day or doesn’t like Christmas. Put yourself in their shoes and hang in there. It’s only a few hours.
- Avoid looking at your mobile phone. Focus on dinner and enjoying your loved ones. Even if there are people you wouldn’t go to dinner with too often
- Don’t judge. The family cannot be chosen and we must accept it, always see the positive side and avoid judgments.
- Play! Board games are the best way to make the relationship between parents, children, siblings, cousins, uncles, brothers-in-law or sisters-in-law positive, pleasant and harmonious.
