The Mediterranean Sea that bathes the coast of Peñíscola maintains a very pleasant temperature throughout the year, 19 ºC on average. The maximum temperature is reached during the summer months and reaches 26 ºC and the minimum is 13 ºC in February. However, there are more and more daring bathers who bathe all year round.

Tamarindos has an extensive green area with more than 100 palm trees. All the apartments face the garden area and each block is oriented in one way, so zone A, perpendicular to the sea, is more recommended for families with small children because of its proximity to the playground and the greater distance from the pools. Zone B, which has been completely renovated, is south-facing and therefore receives more hours of sunshine, and zones C and D, which are parallel to the sea, whose second floors and attics have spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea between palm trees.

In front of the urbanization there is a pedestrian promenade that links the north beach of Peñíscola from Benicarló to the Papa Luna Castle where the old town is located. Walking or cycling along the cycle path is a real pleasure at any time of the year, although the winter and spring months are special as they allow you to enjoy the peace and quiet, listen to the sound of the waves breaking or feel the Mediterranean breeze without crowds or crowds of any kind. In addition, you can visit the castle without queuing or going to lunch and dinner at the restaurants without reservations or waiting.

This is how Alberto Fosar describes his experience in an article about Peñíscola for La Vanguardia: “It was 8:45 am. Absolute silence in the village. Everything is peace and quiet in February, oblivious to the world around it”.

A few kilometres from Tamarindos, you will find the Sierra de Irta, an extensive natural park with native vegetation in the Mediterranean area where you can enjoy walking or doing sport in the open air, either by mountain bike, running or hiking.
